| WHO Are we? We are St. Elizabeth - Catholic Charities, an agency
of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Do you have to be Catholic to receive services?
No! In fact only 25% of our clients are Catholic. We provide services to the community
without regard to race, gender, nationality, religious affiliation, or level of
income. We are funded through a combination of Private Donations (30%), grants
(25%), Fees for services (20%), Corporate contributions (15%), and Church (10%).
WHAT is it we do? If you will click on the "Programs" button
at the top of this page you will see a list of our eight major programs. We address
the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our clients. We are a human service
agency, which recognizes and has a deep and abiding respect for all life. We provide
comfort and quality service to those in need and we endeavor to foster an attitude
of self-sufficiency in each of our clients. We strive to resolve crisis situations
and empower our clients to regain a certain measure of control and order in their
life. WHERE
are we? In a crisis situation, we are on the other end of your phone line.
Our offices, pictured at left, are located in a lovely old restored home just
four blocks east of downtown New Albany and two blocks North of the Ohio River.
Our address is 601 E. Market Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150-2913.
Our Residence Homes are right next door. As you place your cursor on
